Yes, we have 7 days holiday during the beginning of Oct. ( from 29th Sep to 5th Oct.) , it is our national day. For sure you can visit somewhere in china, but you have to book the ticket quickly, because almost half of chinese are going to travel during this time. Oct. is the best time to visit Beijing.

so if you want to go to Beijing, there are seveal ways;
by plane: 100minutes, 500-1300 RMB (depends on the discout you get www.ctrip.com, for book ticket and hotel)
by train: 4-5h, 500RMB (Dxxxx) seat
7-8h, 150RMB -500 ( seat- bed)
by bus: 7h, 150- 200RMB

The city you are going to study is very cold during the winter, and winter lasts quite long from this Nov. to next March. So you should well prepared for it, normally, the lowest tempreture is around-25, it happens in Jan. or Feb. for half an month.
Don't be frightened by the local people's behavior, we speak aloud, we drink a lot, ( we can order a box of beer - the famous beer in shenyang is XUE HUA = SNOW -when we eat with very good friends, or important guests) but we are very hospitable and uncomplicated, easy to make friends. The people there are more taller and stronger than other parts of China, and the boys are handsome, and the girls are pretty. But we don't like insidious and dishonest people, we prefer to do things in direct way. We speak mandarin but wiht north accent, which is the pop language in China.
Shenyang is the capital city of LIAO NING province, it is big city. Which is also the capital of the last chinese dynasty "QING" , so you can find forbidden city and other royal tombs there.

It is a city worthy of discovery, just be well prepared for your coming journey!

Is there a place in Shenyang like a fake market for clothes and else ?

For sure, you will plenty of the markets in Shenyang, there is a famous whole saler market "WU AI SHI CHANG", you can find millions of things there, very cheap.
In china, all the shops and supermarkets are open during the weekend, so you have many time to buy beautiful and cheaper goods.

For the electronic machine, there is a market "SAN HAO JIE".
But you have chance to HONGKONG or SHENZHEN, even Beijing, the price are more attractive.

Do you know how many costs to send something by post to France ?

DHL: cher, quickly: ver 250RMB, 2-3days
Normal post: 20-25 RMB /kg, by sea-freight, 1-1.5month
